Superstitious Mangaka is a self-published Riso series. The idea stems from superstitions my mother used to tell me while I was growing up. Her sense of humour — dark, twisted and deadpan — lead to the idea to create a sarcastic take on my mother's educational methods.
The visual world is drawing references from Ukiyo-e art and Roy Lichtenstein's blown up comic paintings.
